Doug is an experienced Registered Nurse and Certified Case Manager specializing in strategic clinical program development and project management. He has played a pivotal role in transitioning patient care models from periodic visits to proactive, continuous care management. As a DHCS Certified Master Trainer, Doug has trained thousands of healthcare professionals on Managed Care operations. He is currently developing a comprehensive case/care management strategy utilizing remote patient monitoring and telehealth innovations, focusing on enhancing care for senior populations and Medicaid/Medicare patients.
Laura Schmidt, RN, BSN, MHR

Laura Schmidt, RN, BSN, MHR, is a healthcare professional with 25 years of experience, specializing in remote patient management for chronic conditions. She holds a BSN from Wright State University and an MHR from the University of Oklahoma. Starting her career in nephrology, she developed an educational program for a dialysis company in 2009, which successfully reduced patient mortality and morbidity, and its results were published in Nephrology News in 2012.
With experience in clinic operations and team leadership, Laura has contributed to creating a digital healthcare platform and now consults on Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM) and Remote Therapeutic Monitoring (RTM). Her expertise includes developing remote care technology, patient engagement, onboarding, quality assurance, CMS compliance, billing, and education strategies.
